Pay Attention
Intention, passion, and purpose.
Too many of us aren’t paying attention.
Too many of us aren’t moving through life like it matters.
One of my favourite mindfulness quotes from Jon Kabat-Zinn is, “Pay attention as if your life depends on it because it does.”
The other day, I was wondering what life would be like if people did things as if their lives depended on it. Not in this overly serious way, but with intention, passion, and purpose.
I’m talking about the small, mundane things in life. What if you get out of bed in the morning like your life depends on it? Eat breakfast like your life depends on it? Walk your dog like your life depends on it? Read your book like your life depends on it? Call your friends like your life depends on it? What if you moved through life with presence and passion?
It’s not about what you do; it’s about your relationship with what you’re doing. It’s about connection with what you’re doing.
