To be in my mind is to hear a never-ending string of “Why?” Even—perhaps especially—when it comes to my own work. For example, why is it important to reconnect with ourselves and spirituality? Why am I passionate about that? Why do I live my life the way that I do? Why am I the way that I am? Why am I writing a book? Why is it something I must do?
There is an element of the “why” that doesn’t feel necessary. I don’t need to justify why I am following my truth. There’s something liberating about following my truth based on a feeling without needing logical reasoning to back it up. Something about it feels like magic. A part of me doesn’t need to know more because I don’t want to ruin the mystery of it all. But there is an element of the “why” that feels deeply important. Exploring the “why” connects me to my path and purpose. There’s something grounding about following my truth when I understand the “why.”
